About Us...
They opened their first restaurant in Leamington Spa in 2001, calling it the eponymous Loves Restaurant and enjoyed much success including “Best Restaurant in Warwickshire” with the
Good Food Guide and whilst still here Steve won the coveted National Chef of the Year for Great Britain, an award shared by only 22 chefs including Gordon Ramsey. With Steve also winning Roux Scholarship in 1997, he is one of only 2 people in the country to hold both national awards.
They moved to The College Arms in 2005 and were quickly given back the title of “Best Restaurant” by the Good Food Guide and went on to win “Top 5 Restaurants with Rooms”
by The Times and “Best Restaurant” by The Metro.
Their aim in Birmingham is to offer their guests what they have always done, a memorable experience and welcome you to their new home.
Kitchen
Steve, along side his Sous Chef Ed Atwell, lead a small dedicated team in the kitchen, all dedicated young people who aim to cook the best food they can. Steve’s philosophy that using only the freshest ingredients and treating them with care is paramount in his kitchen and is immediately evident in the food that is produced.
Restaurant
Claire and her team believe that all their guests should have their own unique experience and strive to offer a personal service to all.
They have an intimate knowledge of the food and wine and welcome the opportunity to share this with you.
